Time to move again
July 6, 2008 on 1:00 am | In Allgemein | No CommentsI’m Moving to Spain. Yep, meanwhile I got a welcome email and the hole thing seems to be safe. I got the scholarship warranted for 10 month, how long I’m eventually gonna stay - I don’t know.
I’ll probably head to Valencia in the beginning of september right after a chemistry laboratory training.
“Objectif Lune” recieved it’s premiere. A lot of people came to Vorwiehn in Berlin to see it on the 20.6 and apparently they liked it.
The mix of good skateboarding, a good choice of music, plenty of never seen, rough spots, good filming of a man with aesthetic vision and a lot of Super8 Footage. I think it is a fine piece of skateboard documentary. In about a month there will be free copies available, so keep your eyes open for it.

Recently I bought an 35mm Scanner ’cause I’m into analog photography again. Am just about to update my flickr account, so please feel free to have a look. You get linked in the right side bar.
coming soon!
May 15, 2008 on 11:17 pm | In Allgemein | No CommentsWe gotta film a few more bangers and find a name, but in about a month sympathic Jonathan Peters from Strabourg will premiere his view on the Berlin Skatescene. Check the Trailer:
About a year of continueous work, plenty of tapes and super 8 rolls, its characters and an objective view made this movie a very special one.

winter impression shot at my home village just 2 days before christmas
Hey Folks! I haven’t been writing to much, ’cause yeah, compared to
what this blog initially was created for, seems way more exciting
then my life is right now. Which doesn’t mean my allday life was
boring though. I just have no idea if anybody is interested in it,
and if so, who you might be? Leave a comment please…
Home since half a year now my world trip looks far gone. It definetly
was a very big, life-changing thing. I still feel like a vagabond, it
became kinda my attitude I guess. Always doing and moving, but not
knowing what I want and where I belong to really. Temptered by the
varicoloured eventualities our magnificent world offers and annoyed
by obligations u have as a settled person. For a while I was lasting
for kinda an stable life, but now that I have it, it seems boring
sometimes.
I’m talking my mother tongue, know my ways, do my shit and the longer
I do it the more I feel I should go hobo again.
Like two of my close friends just flew to central america this week.
One to Guatemala, one to Costa Rica. Jealous!
Might be part of an winter depression, my messed up mindset, just
some cogitated bullshit. Because I really should not complain, I am
so spoiled with luck!
Like just recently, I got part of the german Vans Skateboard Team. Uhh yeah.
Now, two weeks of exams, not so cool, but followed by a few days
Robotron Team meeting and 11 days Valencia and Barcelona, Spain. And
also, if I get the scholarship I applied for, Valencia might be the
winter residence ‘08/’09. Not to bad forecast. As well, when the
spring starts, there’ll be some awesome stuff going on in Berlin.
And hopefully I might welcome some mates from Australia then, heh?
Feel like checking out our new basta!-blog?
New Kids On The Block Contest

New Kids On The Block Contest
Yesterday there was a Contest for Kids up to 14 years. Around 50
young guns appeared at the skatehall revaler straße to show how
Berlins Offspring is doing. The idea was that those kids get in touch
with the older guys, or how it was announced, with the “Pros”, they
only know out of magazines.
If it is really necessary to bring children to competitions that
early? I don’t know, I guess not. I grew up skating very different,
with a bigger distance to the companys and the competition part of
skateboarding. Which I’m happy of.
In spite of everything I agreed taking part in this contest which had
been arranged for the second time. Sponsors were Search & Destroy,
Radio, Skatehalle-Berlin, Adidas, Robotron, Pivot, été and Irie Daily.
After a big party night on friday with a few to many drinks getting
up for the contest at noon was a bit too early. I felt like shit when
I arrived in Friedrichshain, but still was one of the more fit guys I
guess. Every one of us with the purpose of being kinda an idol for
the kids appeared with small dark circled eyes.
Anyways, after a while of skating and sweeting I felt quite well
again and the hole thing became fun. The little Jamahl u see up there
was on of the 2 guys I had to take care of. He’s skating since just a
few months so it was hard to perform some kinda show. With Valle
(shitty we didn’t take a pic yoah) it was realy challenging to skate
a good run though. The 14 year old Berliner is quite a talented
Skateboarder kickflippin’ over the box me lying on top of and shit.
Our second final (double) run was almost stay-on with more than 15
tricks I think. Yeah, congrats for the second place Vallentin! It was
fun.
Moving In Party
December 2, 2007 on 4:36 pm | In Allgemein | No Comments
Last weekend we had quite a good party in our new Berlin residence. People were asked to come as some kinda musician do get some funky funny dresses together. It worked out pretty well, Homies Tj, Paco, Mo and Alex crossed the republic to get here from Cologne. Max even travelled here from Ravensburg in the very south of good old Germany. Then there was a whole bunch of “Berliner”, friends from Uni of us 3, from Skateboarding and other. And their friends. And those friends of this friend I forgot the name of. U had to squeze thru at pretty much every single sqm of our 132’s at best times. I think. My memory got quite wrecked god damn it.
We had Jimi Hendrix, Modern Talking, Axel Rose and even Pete Doherty here. I know that! A pretty god Mix. Good fun until the Hi-fi died at a good time just before potential escalation.
Aight!
#11 - basta!
November 17, 2007 on 4:25 pm | In Allgemein | No Comments
Moritz Zeller a.k.a. Mofritz alias “The Abspacker” is our new man in
the Sippe of basta! I’m glad your with us now Spacken!
The Weekend in Cologne was damn exhausting. So many people to party
with. The weather was the shittest, we were lucky we got the chance
to skate a dry Dom (Rettet die Domplatte) for like an our. So there was nothing else to do
than being together having drinks, chatting, cooking and talking
heaps of bullshit.
